Library Rules



1. Kindly wear your shoe cover before entering the library.
2. Register/sign in on the log book provided at the counter desk. Fill up the necessary information.
3. Give your Library Card to the Librarian and get it before you leave the library.
4. In borrowing of books, fill up the necessary information needed in the Borrower’s Slip. Kindly fall in line on the counter desk, show the book to the librarian and it will be recorded on your library card.
5. In returning of books, show and giver the borrowed book to the librarian for checking.
6. Don’t bring the books outside of the library area without permission of the librarian.
7. A one-peso per day is imposed to instill discipline and proper observance of due date.
8. In case you lost the book, kindly inform the librarian immediately for appropriate actions.
9. Before you return the books on the bookshelves, fill up first the reference slip and give it to the librarian for counter checking.
10. Don’t tear, cut or write anything on the book.
11. Arrange the tables and chairs before you leave the library.
12. “No Littering” policy is strictly implemented to maintain the cleanliness of the library.
13. Foods, drinks, bags, and lunch box are not allowed to maintain the cleanliness of the library.
14. Avoid making noise while inside the library premises. Silence should be observed strictly. Seat and read properly.
15. In case you want to bring your personal books inside the library, don’t forget to fill up the request slip.
16. Follow the set library hours. For 2nd year and 4th year students, they can come from 8:00 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. for 1st year and 3rd year students their time is from 1:20 p.m. to 4: 00 p.m.

E-Library Rules


1. No I.D., no entry is strictly implemented. Researchers must personally register in the assigned logbook.

2. Each researcher is allowed to use the workstation for 30 minutes. Request for extension is subject to the availability of the computer.
Only one researcher is allowed to use per computer. “First come,First serve” basis will be followed.

3. The computers may only be used for academic purposes.

4. Researchers must work on their own assigned work station for the duration of their research and avoid moving around and avoid changing work station. Computers should be shut down properly after use.

5. The E-librarian-in-charge must be notified immediately if a machine malfunctions, or if there is an evidence of computer virus.

6. Researchers must know how to scan their diskettes or USB. Users must not save data files on the computer hard disk. Instead they should save data in the documents folder or shared documents folder using full name with corresponding file name for retrieval.

7. Printing of researched materials may be requested from the librarian with the corresponding printing fees.

8. Users must keep the library clean and orderly. Consumption of food or beverages inside the section is strictly prohibited.

9. Silence and discipline must be observed inside the library.

10. Defacement, changing, damaging computer system, program,relevant configurations etc. is strictly prohibited. Users caught destroying any equipment shall be held liable for the cost of equipment and be subjective to disciplinary action.

11. The E-librarian is not responsible to any loss of personal valuable of the researchers.

** THE LIBRARY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO TERMINATE USAGE WHEN RULES ARE VIOLATED.**

Internet Acceptable Use Policy

1. NFHS Library recognizes the need of its students, and teachers to have access to the Internet while on the job, using school computers. As such, NFHS Library has made the decision to make the Internet available to all students, teachers for NFHS academic purposes.

2. NFHS Library intends for the Internet to be accessed for academic purposes and expects that students, and teachers will spend no more than 5 minutes per day accessing the Internet for non-academic purposes.

3. NFHS Library specifically prohibits its students, and teachers from accessing the following types of sites using school computers:

a. Gaming sites
b. Social networking sites
c. Peer to Peer sites
d. Proxy sites
e. Gambling sites
f. Auction sites
g. Hate sites
h. Pornographic sites
i. Any site engaging in or encouraging illegal activity

4. The Library reserves the right to use monitoring software to make sure the Library’s AUP is being adhered to by its students, teachers and employees. The school may record and/or monitor one or more students, and teachers' computer and Internet activity for any reason and without any specific notice.

5. By reading this document and using the school computers and internet:

a. You agree that you have had the opportunity to review this agreement and ask any questions regarding this document.
b. You agree to adhere to the Library’s AUP.
c. You agree that you will be subject to disciplinary measures, including possible suspension/ termination, if you violate the AUP.
